While our guides manage the heavy lifting and drilling, participants should be prepared for extended periods in sub-zero environments and walking over uneven, snow-packed ice surfaces. Layered clothing management is essential.

Weather Dependencies

Safety dictates our schedule. Severe winter storms or sudden warming trends that compromise ice stability may require route adjustments or schedule modifications. We constantly monitor local meteorological and ice reports.

Group Sizes

To maintain premium instruction and ensure strict safety perimeters, our tours are capped at small numbers. Basecamp excursions handle up to six individuals, while Traverse packages are restricted to four participants.

Catch Philosophy

We practice selective harvest and promote catch-and-release for larger, mature specimens to preserve the health of the frozen water ecosystems we visit. Our guides will instruct you on safe handling in freezing temperatures to prevent harm to the fish.
